Susan Stamper Brown

Susan Stamper Brown is an American nationally syndicated newspaper columnist whose columns are also published at online news magazines Townhall.com and The Christian Post.
Early life
Stamper Brown was raised in a Christian, blue collar home. Her life dramatically changed after the September 11 attacks when her first husband was killed. Stamper Brown once voted Democrat but became conservative after the attacks. Stamper Brown remarried and lives in Alaska.. She occasionally writes about global warming from an Alaskan's point of view and claimed it snowed the week Barack Obama visited Alaska to talk about global warming. She has also written about the positive effects that warmer winters have on Alaska's wildlife.
Career
Stamper Brown began writing for the Leaf Chronicle in Clarksville, Tennessee as a community columnist. She became nationally syndicated by Cagle Cartoons Syndicate in December 2010 around the same time that her father passed away. Brown devoted one of her first syndicated columns to him.
In response to the Women's Marches in January 2017, Stamper Brown wrote a column claiming leftists were fake feminists. She wrote: "Call me naive, but I believe liberals are about as pro-female as they are pro-choice. They claim to be pro-choice, but attempt to legislate everything under the sun, such as: soda sizes, guns, coal, car sizes, God, free speech, bathrooms, school choice, cake baking, salt, and cigarettes. For them, pro-choice boils down to just two options: whatever they demand and abortions."
After the December 14, 2012 shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, Stamper Brown defended the U.S. Constitution's Second Amendment, emphasizing "people find a way to do bad things." She wrote: "Oddly, on the same day the Sandy Hook massacre took place, a knife-wielding Chinese man stabbed almost two dozen children at an elementary school in central China. And he found a way to do it although the Chinese government recently enacted strict knife regulation measures after a spate of deadly knife and cleaver attacks on school children in China in 2010, killing twenty and wounding fifty. Before long, the Chinese will be eating steak with teaspoons, and so will we -- if we relinquish our Second Amendment rights to those who would rather steal the rights of the masses than address our society’s moral decline. With that in mind, the best gift we can give our kids this Christmas is a future filled with the promise of freedom."
