Surojit Sen

Surojit Sen (; born 1961) is an Indian writer, editor, correspondent and independent researcher on Bengali alternative and counterculture.
Biography
Surojit was born on June 28, 1961 in Sovabazar in North Kolkata. In 1970, His family moved to Chandannagar, Hooghly West Bengal and he has lived there ever since. Surojit was drawn to student politics and was inspired by his uncle, a well-known political worker in Sovabazar area in 1960s.
Occasionally writing regular columns in newspapers and magazines, in 1992, Surojit got associated with Ruchir Joshi in the making of the film on Bauls called Egaro Mile (Eleven Miles).
In 2000 Surojit edited a special number of Dahapatra, a Bengali magazine on Dipak Majumder, an important Bengali writer, thinker, theater and counter culture activist.
Since 2015 Sen is editing of Desher Agamikal, a Bengali web-zine.
