Surge activism

Surge is a grassroots animal rights organisation founded in London, England in 2016 by Ed Winters (Earthling Ed) an animal rights activist and prominent vegan, with a large YouTube following. The primary mission of Surge is to end all animal oppression.
The objective of Surge is to "create a world where compassion towards all non-human animals is the norm." Surge pursues this goal through campaigns, filmmmaking projects, educational outreach, investigations, protests, and marches. The organisation started the first vegan animal rights march in London in 2016, which has now become an annual vegan march in cities throughout the world. In 2018, The Official Animal Rights March had over 28,000 attendees marching in 25 cities across the world demanding an end to all animal oppression. Surge has also been involved in a high profile incident in the Priestlands School, in Lymington, UK.
