Sunny Levine is a pop singer/songwriter, producer, and musician.
Biography
Sunny Levine was born in Santa Monica, California, where he grew up surrounded by musical influence. His grandfather is Quincy Jones, his father is producer Stewart Levine (Simply Red, Joe Cocker, B.B. King, Dr. John, Minnie Ripperton, and Jamie Cullum), and his uncle is producer QD3 (Tupac Shakur, Ice Cube).
Levine began his musical career by fronting the band Matta Haari. He then switched to producing, working with artists such as Mickey Avalon, Hugh Masekela, The Sylvias, and Pete Yorn. Levine also played a key role in the completion of Happy Mondays' first studio album after a twelve-year hiatus.
Most recently, he recorded his first solo album titled "Love Rhino." The album chronicles a "love story gone wrong," and contains insightful, witty lyrics set to laid back, California beats. The album is being distributed by Quango Music Group.
