SunN.Y.

SunN.Y. (Son of New York) is a Rochester, New York born 1978 rapper, named Daniel Smith, who was signed to Jermaine Dupri's So So Def Records. He became popular after winning BET's 106 & Park's Freestyle Friday a record seven times back in February 4th, 2005-the Friday before Super Bowl Sunday. He is currently in 106's Freestyle Friday Hall of Fame alongside other rappers like Sincere the Great (who is also a Rochester native) and one of the most famous, Jin tha MC. SunN.Y. has an album entitled Overnight Celebrity and has released a mixtape aside DJ Noodles, entitled Upstate's Finest: The Reintroduction. In 2007/08 he will release his second album The Gift and the Curse.
