Sujata Choudhary is an Hindi author, editor and philanthropist. Her pen name is Sujata . Early life Sujata Choudhary was born on 6 January 1964 in an educated family of Patna. Her father Dr. Indradev Sharma was the Principal of Samastipur College; In whose memory, Lalit Narayan Mithila University gives a gold medal in political science every year. She has obtained a doctorate and two post-graduation degrees in political science and history. She also has degree in law and has practiced for few years. Bibliography The central characters of most of her books are rural women. Along with writing on Gandhian life and principles, she writes on religion, politics, history and on women's rights. She has written novels, story-collections, biographies, travelogues and scripts. Hundreds of her stories have also been broadcast on All India Radio. Film and research The novel Sau Saal Pehle was published in 2018, based on Raj Kumar Shukla, an indigo farmer who convinced Mahatma Gandhi to visit Bihar. A documentary film is also being made based on the book Bapu aur Stree ". Philonthropy Choudhary is the founding member of Shree Rash Bihari Mission. This trust provides various skill development trainings to women for their self-employment, runs several CBSE schools for minimal fee with partial or full scholarship for rural children, grants capital to widows and abandoned wives, and manages charitable home shelter in Vrindavan. She and her husband Dr. Amarendra Narayan Choudhary, a doctor work for easy access to advanced education and health services for the underprivileged sections. They have donated a 13 Bighas land to establish a Gandhi Ashram and educational institute which will provide education and employment in a remote backward village of Banka district in Bihar.
