Stics

is an acronym for Stockholm Institute of Communication Science. is an independent Swedish education and research institute located in Stockholm. The organization, being an entity independent from Universities and Business Schools in Sweden, has a greater ability to pursue industry research as well as industry specific corporate education. Contrary to most higher education in Sweden Stics does not receive government funding.

The organization is mainly conducting research in the area of marketing, marketing communication and communication with a special emphasis on cognitive processes in information transferal. The organization is conducting cutting edge research in the area of how marketing communication is attended to and how contextual factors may impact attention to marketing communication. Part of the research is targeting the digital media landscape and its impact on marketing communication.

The organization's Corporate Executive Education is exclusively focused on marketing and marketing communication.

The founder of Stics who is also the institute's current chairman is associated to Umeå School of Business - Sweden USBE, at Umeå University.
