Steven James Camilleri

Steven James Camilleri (born August 12, 1987) is a Maltese author of contemporary, suspense, mystery, thriller and romance. His books are published worldwide, and he is known for his distinct writing style. His also the author of many inspirational poems, including his most famous, ‘Ebbing into Darkness.’
Early life
Steven James Camilleri experienced his first years at the heart of New York City. At the tender age of six and a half, Steven, along with his parents and only brother, permanently traveled to a picturesque island in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea. The hectic life of the city he had grown accustomed to, compared to the tranquility ambience of the Gozo, had left a huge impact on Steven’s life. However, Steven drew accustomed to the difference and accepted his new lifestyle as both a challenging and rewarding experience.
Education
At a secondary level of education, the author was introduced to a number of subjects, including German, his third spoken language, Home Economics and Technical Drawing. Although, more importantly for Steven, sitting for art classes contributed to scope for his imagination. At tertiary level, he studied two disparate subjects - geography and sociology. The reason behind the selection had been aimed to acquire a broader perspective of the world we live in - both from the perspective of man and that of nature. After successfully completing Sixth form, he moved to the main island where he spent three years at the University of Malta, graduating with a Degree in B.A. (Hons) in geography. Still determined to pursue his academic career, Steven graduated for a second moment where he obtained a teacher’s warrant after specializing in his main study area.
