Steven Giovanni Cruz (born December 23, 1990) is an American political activist and commentator. He is the Deputy Digital Director for The LIBRE Initiative, where he leads the organization's digital media and engagement efforts as well as having regular appearances with Univision, Telemundo and CNN en Español. Education Cruz attended (2008-2012) receiving a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations with a concentration in Latin America and Leadership studies as well as a Master of Public Administration degree with a concentration in Federal Policy and Crisis Management from The George Washington University (2012-2014). Career Cruz worked in FIU's Office of the President on constituent issues, event management and operations. He joined The LIBRE Initiative in June 2012 as the assistant to the Chief Operating Officer providing strategic and tactical support before joining the communications team as a press secretary and spokesperson for the organization. Currently, he is in charge of LIBRE's digital outreach to the U.S. Hispanic community. During his tenure at The LIBRE Initiative, he has spoken extensively about the changing Latino electorate and the repercussions of expansionist policies on Millennials, most notably for Millennial Week, Campaign Tech, Latinos in Social Media Annual Meeting and at the 2016 Republican National Convention. He has also written for Forbes, Elite Daily, The Daily Caller and The Hill.
