Steve Lux Jr.

Stephen "Steve" Lux, Jr. is an elected official who is currently serving his first term as selectman for the town of Hopkinton, New Hampshire.
Career
Lux began his political career in 2014 when elected to the budget committee in the town of Hopkinton, New Hampshire for a term of three years. Lux later ran for a seat on the select board in 2015 against 3-term incumbent George Langwasser. Both candidates participated in an open forum hosted by the Hopkinton Rotary Club on March 1, 2015. Popular topics of discussion were taxes, quality of life within the town, attracting new businesses and the relationship between the town and state fair board. The event attracted more than 50 local residents.
Lux defeated Langwasser on election day, earning 310 votes against 262.
Personal life
Lux currently resides in Hopkinton. He is a member and president of the Contoocook Riverway Association board of directors, a which owns and oversees the operation of the historic railroad station in the village of Contoocook. Lux has also been a member of the Hopkinton Fire Department since early 2014.
