Steve Loverso

Steve Loverso (born 14 July 1984 in the United States) is an American former soccer player. A left-footed footballer, he was comfortable playing up front, in midfield, or defense during his playing days.
Career
High school and college
Competing for Warwick Valley High School, Loverso was known for his disciplined approach to soccer he was selected for the All-State squad as a midfielder during his junior season.
For Rutgers University, Loverso scored his first goal in a 1-0 triumph over Seton Hall in September 2002.
Senior
Trying out for Falkirk F.C. of the Scottish Premier League in 2004, the forward netted his first goal for the club in a 1-0 friendly win over Chester-le-Street. Unfortunately, Falkirk did not have the prerequisite funds to add him to their squad, and he signed for Larne F.C. instead, whereafter scoring three goals against Donegal Celtic. Picking up a concussion in the middle of a game, the attacker flew back to the United States to renew his visa and visit family. Soon, in 2006, Loverso transferred to Cwmbran Town A.F.C. of the Welsh Premier League and went through another trial with Falkirk, returning in September, making 13 appearances and 3 goals within two seasons and leaving by the end of the year.
His last club was Tobago United F.C. which he plied his trade for in 2008.
