Sterling David Allan

Sterling David Allan (1963 - ) is the CEO of Pure Energy Systems Network (PES Network, Inc.), discovered scripture codes, has organized several religious and political study groups and organizations, and has run for public office, both local and national.

He lives in Eagle Mountain, Utah with his wife Cheri Moon, and four children: Christian, Emilee, Aubrie, and Hailee. He has a degree from Brigham Young University in Microbiology, followed by two years of graduate work in Physiology and BioElectrochemistry. He considers himself religiously aligned as an Independent.

Religion and Politics

After serving an LDS mission in Hokkaido, Japan from 1992 - 1993 (missions were 1.5 years at that time), then teaching at the LSD Mission Training Center for two years, Allan became politically involved in the tradition of then LDS President, Ezra Taft Benson, who encouraged members of the faith to become active in the political process in general, to defend the U.S. Constitution in particular. To that end, Allan founded the American Study Group in 1991, which grew throughout the Rocky Mountain west to around 4,000 participants.

Allan was excommunicated from the LDS Church in 1993 for apostasy after teaching that the Mormon Church in particular, and Christians in general present a chiastic mirror to the Jews at the time of Jesus Christ, except that the Jews were looking for a political messiah, and got a spiritual savior instead; while the Mormons/Christians, in contrast, are focused on the spiritual savior, and are rejecting the political role of establishing a government of God on Earth, which would protect the freedoms of all mankind. Allan said that instead of defending freedom, the Mormons/Christians are helping establish the antithesis of a socialist order prophecied to persecute the saints.

In support of this view, Allan wrote a book called The Vision of All: Our Past, Present, and Future as Foretold in Book of Mormon History (1997); then published in a magazine he founded called Greater Things (1992) a large number of chiasms and parallels he found in scripture texts, as well as in non-canonical, inspired works, such as the Declaration of Independence, and LDS General Conference talks.

In 1997, he discovered a code embeded in the scriptures that he coined "Alphabetics". The phenomenon is based on the alphabetical presentation of the words found in scriptures, such as in dictionaries and lexicons and the numbering thereof, and associating those numbers and words in their vicinity with contemporary numbers. For example, Word 4150 in the Old Testament Hebrew lexicon (numbering by James Strong) is the last four digits of the LDS Church Headquarters zip code in Salt Lake City. Word 4150 includes the meanings of: "holy tabernacle"; "a place in which an assembly is held", "temple", "seats of the prophets", "an appointed sign". The LDS Headerquarters includes the world famous Salt Lake Temple and Tabernacle and Assembly Hall, where seminanual general conferences are held, presided over by those revered by the people as "prophets". Not all his findings are as lauditory.

In 1999 Allan began publishing his compilations to the website http://greaterthings.com

Political Experience
Allan was the County Chair of the Independent American Party from 1990 to 1991, and stood as a candidate for the Utah State Legislature District 1 in 1990, winning 17% of the vote.

In 2001, Allan founded Remnant Saints Inter-Continental Congress, to establish a World Constitution that will protect the freedom of all mankind and encourage individual responsibility and goodness. The group fizzled due to a lack of funding.

After an unsuccessful push to have Congressman Ron Paul drafted to run for President of the United States in 2004 (formerly ), Allan ran for that office himself (formerly ), founding the United States Providential Party, finding that the Libertarian Party wasn't a very good match for him. The new party never got off the ground, and Allan's write-in campaign gained no following of substance.

Energy Field
Growing weary of religion and politics, needing a more secure income for his young family, Allan began turning his attention to cutting-edge alternative energy, starting in earnest in 2002. He established a reputation aggregating a news and directory service for "free energy" technology, which by his definition includes solar, wind, geothermal, tide, along with the more exotic technologies such as magnet motors, cold fusion, and zero point energy.

In Aug. 2004 he founded http://PESWiki.com for collaborative development of directory pages pertinent to cutting edge energy technologies. As of Sept. 2007, PESWiki had over 2,500 articles and nearly 18,000,000 page views.

In 2005, he founded the New Energy Congress to review the various clean energy technologies and rank them according to a set of criteria including: clean, renewable, affordable, reliable, credible, safe; compiling these into a Top 100 Energy Technologies listing.

In Aug. 2007, he was invited to give the captone lecture about top energy technologies and open sourcing pivotal energy technologies at Gnomedex, an Internet Blogging conference.

Music
Allan sang baritone in BYU's UpperClassmen barbershop quartet for two years. He is also a composer of songs and arrangements for the piano. He recently joined Timpanogos Chorale in American Fork, Utah.
