Stephen Michael Smith is an American symphonic and choral conductor. He is Music Director/Conductor of the Danbury Community Orchestra, the Senior Pops Orchestra of Long Island and The Orchestra at Shelter Rock. He also serves as Music Director of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Shelter Rock, where he conducts a semi-professional chorus, a professional chamber orchestra, and a professional concert series. He formerly served as Music Director of the Dalton Alumni Chorus in New York City and the Shrewsbury Chorale of New Jersey, having prepared both institutions for their Carnegie Hall debuts.
He has conducted extensively in the US and Europe, and currently resides in New York City.
