Stephen J. Pasierb is an American trade association and nonprofit executive. He currently serves as President & Chief Executive of the United States Toy Association. Previously, Pasierb served as President and CEO of the Partnership to End Addiction, first known as the Partnership for a Drug-Free America (PDFA) a nonprofit organization dedicated to evidence-based solutions to adolescent substance use disorders. The organization's stated mission is to reduce teen substance abuse and help families impacted by addiction. He served in several positions with the organization between 1993 and being named CEO in 2001. Pasierb served in the State of Maryland Executive Department under Governor William Donald Schaefer as Manager of Marketing & Media Communications for the Governor's Drug and Alcohol Abuse Commission. Prior to the Commission, he was an account supervisor and new business development director at Freed & Associates in Baltimore, an advertising and public relations agency; preceded by serving as vice president of media services at GNVC Communications in Pittsburgh a business-to-business communications firm. Pasierb served prior in the media industry for several years in broadcast radio - first as on-air talent, then station management and later in advertising sales. Pasierb currently serves on the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Association Committee of 100. He is a member, ASTM International, Committee F963 Safety of Toys (international standards organization); member, American Society of Association Executives; serves as Permanent Observer to the Board of the Ethical Toy Program (safeguard and improve ethical and sustainability standards in the global toy industry supply chain); and secretariat to the International Council of Toy Industries. Previously Pasierb served on the Board of Directors of the University of Pennsylvania Treatment Research Institute, 2006 - 2014; Board of Directors, Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America, 2001 - 2011; and President’s Advisor, Darkness to Light, (national child sexual abuse prevention), 2006 - 2012. Pasierb was inducted into the American Advertising Federation Advertising Hall of Achievement in 2003. Pasierb is a 1986 honors graduate of Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he received a M.Ed. degree in Communications Media and earlier a B.S. in Criminology. Pasierb received the Distinguished Alumni Award from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in 2008 and was inducted into The National Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi for scholarly distinction.
