Whilst in prison Stefan Williams-Dennis formed a charity organisation called ANKH (Life) along with fellow inmate Emmanuel Da Silva ll and Officer John Storm. ANKH (Life) was supported by David Lammy MP, Paul Goggins MP, Trevor Phillips of the CRE and many organisations such as Nation of Islam, Holy Tabernacle Ministries, Directorate of High Security Prisons and Dr Sally-Ann Ashton of the Fitzwilliam Museum. Stefan Williams-Dennis was released on appeal after it was proven that the expert analysis of Michael Howard was in fact flawed and incorrect. Upon his release in March 2005, Stefan Williams-Dennis was awarded a large sum in compensation for the time he had spent in the Category A high security prison dispersal system (, , , & ). In 2013 Kevin Dennis was denied a compensation for wrongful conviction because the relevant law (Section 133(5A) of the Criminal Justice Act 1988) had been enacted in December 2008 via a modification of the 1988 law and the quashing of his conviction had occurred before that date.
Since then Stefan Williams-Dennis has gone on to become a successful businessman owning shares in companies such as Williams Electrical Services and SNHHKR Ltd.
