SteatoTest

The SteatoTest measures hepatic steatosis (triglyceride deposits in the liver) in patients with chronic hepatitis C or B, alcoholic liver disease and metabolic steatosis (overweight, diabetes, hyperlipidemia).
The SteatoTest is calculated using an original combination of nine highly concentrated biochemical markers, which are easy to assess. The SteatoTest offers a non invasive alternative for measuring hepatic steatosis (triglyceride deposits in the liver) in patients with chronic hepatitis C or B, alcoholic liver disease and metabolic steatosis (overweight, diabetes, hyperlipidemia).
The SteatoTest combines alpha2-macroglobulin, haptoglobin, apolipoprotein A1, total bilirubin, Gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT), fasting glucose, triglycerides, cholesterol, and alanine transaminase (ALT), with parameters adjusted for patient’s age, gender, weight and height.
