Stanley Gets Stuck

Stanley Gets Stuck is a book written by Paul Drummond and illustrated by Al Warner
Stanley lives in a flock with a group of sheep who exclude him because he is different. He decides to leave them and sets out on an adventure. After a series of mishaps he is found stuck in a bramble bush by a kindly Shepherd. The Shepherd takes him to live with a new flock of kind sheep. Stanley settles in with the sheep and becomes friends with them. Much to his surprise, the Shepherd tells him that they must leave the field and go to a new one across the valley. Stanley doesn't like the sound of this, and after meeting a monkey called Scamp he decides to go his own way, and the adventures begin again, with more fun and mishaps along the way, until Stanley finds himself stuck again, in a swamp surrounded by hungry crocodiles. When all hope is lost, the Shepherd comes to the rescue....
Inspired by The Lost Sheep, Stanley gets stuck deals with issues such as acceptance, difference, choice, friendship and forgiveness and most importantly shows that no matter who we are, we are loved, and no matter how difficult situations in life can be, there is always a way out.
