Spun Silk Hair

Spun silk hair is a descriptive term for hair, generally of a silver-gold color, silky and smooth in appearance. In most cases it appears in thick braids. The term is from 'spun silk' yarn, which is made from short silk fibers and silk waste. While not the most common name for describing this type of hair, it is a literay tool often used by authors to desecribe Repunzel-like hair.

Name
The name of this hair type is often confused with similar things. While spun silk hair is often confused or used as a synonom for spun silk syndrome they are actually complete opposites. It is also confused simply for spun silk, as silk can be woven into hair as a hair style, as supposed to it's own type of actual hair. The name spun silk hair comes from spun silk. They have similar texture and look.

Spun silk hair is used as an adjective in the stories Angel in the Snow and Uncharted
