Spirit of Columbia

The Spirit of Columbia is a small 143-foot cruise ship owned and operated by Cruise West. It carries 78 passengers.

The ship ran aground on the east side of Evans Island in Latouche Passage, near Whittier, Alaska, at approximately 9:53 a.m. on August 19, 2007. No injuries were reported.

Frommer's describes this ship as "spartan", with "very snug" but comfortable cabins.
