SpeedCommander

SpeedCommander is a shareware Orthodox File Manager (OFM) for Windows. Its predominant marketplace is Germany.
From the start of the project SpeedCommander has fully integrated unicode support (unlike its main competitor Total Commander). Non unicode proprietary Windows systems are supported by a separate version of the software specially created and compiled for such environments.
Feature highlights
* SpeedCommander relies on external executables for searching (FileSearch), viewing (SpeedView) and editing (SpeedEdit, based on the Scintilla engine) of files. This also applies to synchronization of folders (FileSync). Though these separate applications are provided with the software and are custom tailored by SpeedProject for SpeedCommander.
* Support common modern OFM features such as: file multi-rename tool, advanced search features with regular expressions, multi tabbed panels, folder synchronization tool and plugin support.
* Unlike many OFM for Windows has a very user friendly way of customizing the user-interface and keyboard shortcuts with full duplicity key detection mechanism (resembling the MS Office style of UI customization).
* Has fully multi-language capable UI.
* Features its own internal console.
* Has the capability to operate within a web browser either as Internet Explorer ActiveX component or Mozilla ActiveX-Control.
* Supports the entire range of Windows operating systems, including Windows 7, Vista and 64 bit Windows versions.
* Includes stand-alone but seamlessly integrated SpeedView and SpeedEdit programs which allow viewing and editing of a number of formats. SpeedEdit itself has many features present only in advanced text editors, including Syntax highlighting (for XML, Perl, HTML, etc.), Code folding, Brace matching, and Indentation Guides.
