Spatial Fusion Server is a well established GIS server created by CARIS. Its supports many spatial data formats and implements Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) specifications. Spatial Fusion Server is bundled under the Spatial Fusion Enterprise product and is the web distribution component of the Ping to Chart workflow. Spatial Fusion Server has strong support for the hydrographic and bathymetric industries by supporting many marine data formats and providing continuous coverage for electronic navigational charts. Spatial Fusion is a registered Trademark of CARIS. Currently it allows the creation of multiple: * Web Map Server (WMS) that implement the OGC 1.0.0, 1.1.0, 1.1.1 (with Styled Layer Descriptor), and 1.3.0 specifications. * Web Feature Server (WFS) that implement OGC 1.0.0 and 1.1.0 specifications. Common Uses The server supports many input and output formats. The server allows for users convert their spatial data into well supported interchange formats for use in other systems. For example, ENC data could be distributed using Spatial Fusion Server and exported as KML for a Google Maps mashup, or GeoJSON for an Openlayers mashup. GML could be exported for digestion in another GIS or a combination of various formats could be shared out and loaded into a GIS such as uDig as a WMS backdrop.
