Spaatz Association

Background
Abstracted from the organization's website:
The Spaatz Association is a "not for profit" organization of cadets (past and present) who have earned the Program's highest milestone award, the General Carl A. Spaatz Award, and are eligible to wear the Cadet Colonel grade insignia and the Spaatz service ribbon. This prestigious award is named after an American World War II general and the first Chief of Staff of the United States Air Force. In keeping with the Association's founding principles, Spaatz Award recipients endeavor to give something back to the organization, but more importantly, to help the CAP cadets who follow them.
History
Abstracted from the organization's website:
Founded in 1994, the Association grew out of what was called the "Gathering of Diamonds," a reunion of past and present Carl A. Spaatz awardees. This "first" Gathering of Diamonds (organized by then CAP National Historian Col. Len Blascovich) was held at the CAP National Board Meeting in New Orleans, LA to commemorate the 30th anniversary of the modern cadet program adopted in 1964.
