South Sudan–Spain relations

South Sudan-Spain relations are the bilateral and diplomatic relations between these two countries. South Sudan does not have an embassy in Spain or consulate Spain does not have an embassy in South Sudan but its embassy in Khartoum, Sudan, is accredited to South Sudan.
Diplomatic relations
Spain was one of the first countries to recognize the independence of South Sudan. The accredited Ambassador of Spain in South Sudan is the Ambassador of Spain resident in Khartoum, Sudan, on whom an open diplomatic office in Yuba depends. Since the July crisis, the Yuba office is temporarily closed.
South Sudan has opened 23 Embassies, but does not have resident representation in Madrid (which is covered from its Embassy in Paris).
Since 2011, OAH financing to South Sudan amounts to €11,345,500. If we add to this the financing of the old CAP and the activation of emergency agreements, the total AECID amount destined for humanitarian actions reaches €13,733,232.<ref name=coop />
