South 40

South 40 is a Country Rock and Red Dirt band based in Panama/Tulsa, Oklahoma. South 40 was originally formed in 2002 and its current lineup has been together since the Summer of 2005. South 40 officially released its new cd, "Home" in January 2007 with a heavy push to small market country radio stations, Texas Country and Red Dirt Radio stations and Roots Rock/Americana Radio stations as well as Internet Radio.

South40 and its members have shared the stage with artists such as:
Cross Canadian Ragweed, Jason Boland and the Stragglers, Randy Rogers Band, Robert Earl Keen, Wade Bowen, Stoney Larue, Cooder Graw Asleep at the Wheel Randy Crouch, Double Trouble, Charlie Robison, Pat Green, The Great Divide, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Owen Temple, Ricochet, Jason Meadows.

"Home" was recorded in Austin, Texas at Cedar Creek Studios and Dirty Bird Studio in Norman, Oklahoma with Adam Odor producing.

Guest appearances on "Home" include Roger Ray (steel guitar) and Noah Jeffries (fiddle) of Jason Boland and the Stragglers, John Michael Whitby (piano) of Asleep at the Wheel and George Strait's Ace in the Hole band, Steve Littleton (Hammond B3) of Stoney Larue and Dustin Pittsley, and Red Dirt legend Randy Crouch(fiddle and vocals).

The first single from "Home" is "If it's all the same".

Home was in the top 10 selling CD's on MilesofMusic.com for January 2007. "Home" was in the top 10 selling cd’s in Germany for March 2007.
