Soul Football Club is an English football team from the London Borough of Tower Hamlets. The club is hugely known for developing youths in the area, and moving them on to semi professional clubs such as Leyton Orient and Chelsea Football Club. History Social Organization for Unity and Leisure (SOUL) came into existence to cater for the needs of the local youth in Brick Lane and the Greater Tower Hamlets area. The organization was initially set up by a group of young adults who were familiar with the many hurdles and adverse influences faced by the youth of this area. This community is recognized as being amongst the most socially disadvantaged, with some of the highest recorded incidences of drug abuse, anti social behavior and gang warfare. Since 2003, Soul FC have been competing in various of local leagues in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets and the London Borough of Newham area. With the successes in the previous years, the club expanded in 2005, by making a rival team Soul Youth. By the end of 2006, Soul FC has been a stepping stone for young kids in the borough, thus becoming one of the biggest clubs in Tower Hamlets. The club expanded again, by adding more teams in the age groups under 8, under 10, under 12, under 14, under 16 and under 18. These players would then go on to play for the senior team who play in the BFA First Division.
