Sorudo

Sorudo is a derogatory term used among members of the online gaming community to indicate someone who is a consistent troll, yet doesn't overstep the established line of the community enough to result in a ban. Sorudos often claim ignorance to avoid reprimand, even after being corrected several times, generally by noted members of the community.
Sorudos have been compared with so-called '/b/tards', from the well-known 4chan imageboard. General consensus on the internet is that they are posters in the pre-troll phase and destined to troll forums.

Community Reaction

Sorudos are intensely disliked by many, especially among those communities which are dedicated to helping new gamers within the community, since the Sorudo is likely to mislead new players, providing them with false information. Most Sorudos have a tendency to think of themselves as better gamers than others, however through the spreading of faulty information and their general anti-social attitude (as described above) they are in fact worse. 'Fail' is an internet meme often used to describe Sorudos. In general they also think of themselves as qualified programmers and game developers, as they equate modding experience to actual programming. Furthermore, they have trouble using Internet based resources like , instead using their own opinion as fact, which has led to a derivation of Sorudo's known as Trollpedia's, who specifically target Wiki's with their actions.

Origins

The origin of the word Sorudo is unknown, though the most popular explanation is that it was named after the first Sorudo, who used Sorudo as his forum alias. Some think it is a derivation from popular anime, manga and similar japanese art.
It is also a common Dutch household name for pets [http://members.lycos.nl/pieter02/hpbimg/cavia%205.jpg].
