Sort-of-ponytail is a hairstyle where the strands of hair around the ears and forehead and near the fringe are tied back into a ponytail and the rest of the hair is left loose. It is called a "sort-of-ponytail" because it is a ponytail but not all of the hair is tied back into it. Notable sort-of-ponytails - In the 1971 musical film Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory Violet Beauregarde (played by Denise Nickerson) has shoulder-length brown hair which she wears in a sort-of-ponytail with a giant hair clip. - In the What's New, Scooby Doo? episode "A Terrifying Round With a Menacing Metallic Clown" Miranda Wright, Shaggy's impertinent and cocky rival in golf, sports a blonde sort-of-ponytail. |
