Solairus Aviation is a private aviation company that provides aviation asset management and charter flight services.
History
Solairus Aviation was founded by Dan Drohan and Jake Cartwright in 2009. In May 2009, Solairus obtained FAR Part 135 certification, which enabled them to expand their service offerings to the private travel marketplace and provide their managed aircraft owners a supplemental revenue source.
In August 2009, Solairus achieved Aviation Research Group/US (ARG/US) Platinum status. Solairus is one of only 71 Aviation Research Group/US Platinum-rated charter operators in the world.
In September 2009, Solairus earned “10 or more”, seating/large cabin authority followed in December by worldwide operations specifications.
In November 2009, Solairus added to its fleet with the additions of a a Gulfstream G550, a Bombardier Challenger RJ, and a Hawker 800XP.
In February 2010, Solairus received International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) certification, making them the only 33 air charter operator in the U.S. to achieve the certification.
Solairus Aviation has also received the National Business Aircraft Association (NBAA) Commercial Business Flying Safety Award.
In June of 2010, Solairus Aviation added six new aircraft to its fleet. These aircraft inlcude a Florida based Gulfstream G550, a Connecticut based Bombardier Global Express, and a Seattle based Challenger 605. The California fleet additions included a a Dassault Falcon 900 and a Challenger 601 .
The company’s fleet now numbers nearly 50 aircraft under management, ranging from King Airs and Citations to Gulfstream and Global Express aircraft, over twenty of which are available for on-demand air charter. The aircraft are based in more than a dozen states throughout the U.S.
About
Based out of its corporate offices in Petaluma and Burlingame, CA, Solairus is led by industry veterans including CEO Dan Drohan, Vice Chairman Jake Cartwight, President John King, Chief Operating Officer Greg Petersen, and Chief Financial Officer Dave Weil.
In January 2010, Solairus announced its contributions to the Corporate Angel Network's effort to provide cancer patients with free flights to attend treatments. Solairus is making cash contributions equal to 1% of the first year's management fees for each new aircraft management client it signs in 2010. Each time the Solairus fleet grows, CAN receives more funding, with no limit to the contributions.

* Aviation Asset Management
:Solairus Aviation manages aircraft for a fixed monthly fee and passes along all earned discounts to their clients. Aircraft expenses are invoiced to the owner without markup. Solairus currently has major programs in place covering fuel, maintenance, crew training and insurance

:Solairus Aviation offers domestic and international air charter on over twenty aircraft, ranging from the long-range, large cabin Gulfstream G550 to the extremely comfortable, regional King Air 350.
