SoftwareGR is a Grand Rapids-based 501c6 non-profit trade association founded in 2003 by Atomic Object, a custom software firm located in Grand Rapids, MI. They meet regularly throughout the year on the fourth Tuesday of the month. They host an annual conference, GLSEC, or the Great Lakes Software Excellence Conference. The meetings are free, and typically have 30 to 60 people in attendance. Topics covered surround many aspects of software development, from user experience to implementation, design to development. SoftwareGR is a chapter of the SEI’s Software Process Improvement Network (SPIN).
