Soaring Timbers

Soaring Timbers is an aggressive inferno type thrill ride located at Canada's Wonderland in Vaughan, Ontario. It opened in 2017, and is the first of its kind in North America, sending riders up to 20 meters (66 feet) into the air. The ride is angled at 45° and can hold 38 riders at once. Soaring Timbers was manufactured by Mondial, a dutch ride manufacturer, and is located in the International festival section of Canada's Wonderland.
History
Soaring Timbers was added to Canada's Wonderland in 2017. The plot of land it currently sits on was previously occupied by a mini golf course. The mini golf was fairly unpopular, so the park decided to add a whole new ride to replace it. The ride was built and opened in mid-May 2017. It was later temporarily shut down due to mechanical malfunctions, and has yet to reopen.
Ride Mechanics
Soaring Timbers is 20 meters (66 feet) tall, and is angled at 45°. The two independent gondolas rotate on a centered axis and they each seat 19 people across 4 rows (row layout is 5-5-5-4) making up for a 38 total person capacity. The gondolas sweep riders through the sky while rotating them 360°. The ride lasts for about 2 minutes.
