Snowball Studios (3d animation, visual effects, content &post-production). Snowball Studios is a post-production, 3D Animation, Visual Effects, and Content CreationCompany located in Tel Aviv, Israel, with satellite branches in Toronto and London.Snowball specializes in creating spectacular photo realistic and cartoon character animation, developing and producing high end digital content for TV, commercials, mobile and gaming.
Snowball was launched as a boutique studio in 2004 by Yoni Cohen, Chief Creative Officer. Within 3 years Eran Barel and Shai Agassi joined as co-owners, and it grew to employing a core crew of around 65. Today Snowball is theleading animation facility in Israel, with over 100 employees on its books.
International Presence
Snowball Studios works with clients located in the USA, UK, Europe, Brazil, Russia and many other countries around the globe, and has generated hundreds of minutes of high quality 3D animation, and visual effects.
Animated TV Series
In 2006, Snowball created VIPO, its first full length CG TV series for Vipoland (Germany). This aired in over 140 countriesand was followed by new productions of 2 TV series for Baby Channel and the 2nd season (26 x11 min) of Vipo in HD. In 2010, Snowball embarked on AlphaBlocks, its first series for CBeebies, and has since gone on to do two more seasons.
Commercial Animation, VFX and Post-Production
In 2007Snowball Studios launched a new department dealing with short term projects for corporate clients such as FIFA, Cartoon Film, NBC, Cisco, Sci-Fi Channel, Verizon, Coca Cola,National Lottery,EMI, Nissan,Ocado, and Orange, expanding the breadths of Snowball's services to post-production and VFX.
R&D, Digital and Content Creation
In 2008, Snowball launched its Content Department, which has development deals with Kudos (UK), Yowza (Toronto) and has recently launched TOP, an animated Richard Hammond show. Together with its recently opened Digital Department, Snowball createsits own original concepts from family movies to tv series, computer games, webisodesand apps.
Right from the start, Snowball has been committed to pushing the limits of artistic and technical possibilities. Positioned at the heart of the Israeli high-tech industry, Snowball Studio's R&D Department is developing innovative pipeline and management tools.
