Southseas Film and Television School

South Seas Film and Television School is a film school based in Auckland, New Zealand.
Background
South Seas was established in 1992 by Gerben Cath and David Coddington in order to meet a growing demand by young aspiring film makers for intensive, practical, industry related training that would prepare them for trainee positions in the Film, Television and Media Industry.
After starting with only one class of 32 Film and Television Production students in one building which comprised of a studio, editing suites and classroom, South Seas has steadily grown to the present size where over 200 students attend full time studies in a campus consisting of 6 different buildings for the Film and Television School, On Screen Acting School, Digital Photography School, and the Animation and Visual Effects School. The school is equipped with advanced industry equipment and facilities.
To date over 960 South Seas graduates have put their skills to good use working on projects ranging from commercials and short dramas, documentaries or animated films to high rating TV programmes as well as international feature films.
Study
South Seas currently delivers the following full time media industry practical training courses:
*One year Diploma in Film and TV Production
*One year Diploma in Digital Photography
*One year Diploma in On-Screen Acting
*One year Diploma in Digital Media Production
*Two year Diploma in 3D Animation Production
The school also delivers a wide range of short workshop courses as well as advanced courses for the broadcasting and production industry.
