Sneha Krunal Thakker

Sneha Krunal Thakker (; born 6 July 1985) is an Entrepreneur from Ahmedabad, India.
She is from a Kathiawadi family of Bhavnagar, Gujarat. Sneha Thakker is the founder / CEO of Thakker Technologies - a web and Mobile application development company based in Ahmedabad, India. In recognition of her entrepreneur skills, Sneha Thakker have been recognized through various awards including 'Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur', 'Best Young Entrepreneur', and 'Priyadarshini Award'. As a successful young entrepreneur, she continues to contribute on “internet startups” through media and workshops.
Early life and education
Sneha was born in Ahmedabad, India. She hails from a Kathiawadi family. Sneha completed her education till Higher Secondary Certification from Shree Dakshinamurti Vinay Mandir - a private school based in Bhavnagar. Sneha later studied at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College, Gujarat University to complete her Computer Engineering degree in 2006.
Entrepreneurship
In 2009, Sneha founded Thakker Technologies - an independent web and Mobile application development company which is based in Ahmedabad, with her pocket money. Besides application development, the company also provide tailored solutions in website designing, maintenance and marketing, through developing components, modules, templates and plugins for international customers. As of December 2013, Sneha Thakker had expanded the business to Europe, USA and Australia.
App Development
Sneha has been instrumental in the development of the KnockDoc app which helps users to locate doctors with their city or locality. The functionality of the app includes a search facility, a ratings system of available doctors, and a booking system to enable the user to make appointments. The app is FREE to download and use. Currently app includes more than 20 specialties of doctors, of more than 11 cities of India. The app has provision to add new doctors as well, for this another app called SmartDoc has been introduced. Once doctor register on SmartDoc, it will automatically be reflected on KnockDoc
Recognition, awards and contributions
During 2012, in recognition of Sneha Thakker’s entrepreneurship skills, she was awarded Priyadarshini Award; for which, she was shortlisted among 800 women from over 50 countries. Sneha became the youngest awardee in the list and the sole recipient from the province of Gujarat, India. In December 2012, she was awarded the "ASDF Award" under the category of "Young Entrepreneur ". In 2013, Sneha Thakker received “Udgam Women’s Achiever Award ” and 'Special Achievement in Business - Raghuvanshi Award ”. Sneha Thakker contributes to “internet startups ” at various forums, that also include features in India Today, Yahoo Finance. A case study on her business model has also been included in Paripex Journal.

Personal life
Sneha Thakker is married to Krunal Thakker, and the couple live in Gujarat, India. She, her parents and her in-laws set an example to the society, where girl child is not supported to chose her career and has to sacrifice to the family
