"Smunday" is episode 15 of the first season of the television series Malcolm in the Middle. It first aired on May 14, 2000. Plot It is Monday morning, the end of two months punishment for the boys! They had challenged Francis' friends into eating a dog food sandwich in exchange for Dewey's bike. Lois is bitten by the flu bug and slept through all weekend, ergo, she thinks it is Sunday, so the boys play along and stay home from school. A letter from Southern Alabama State comes, regarding Francis - he drove a backhoe into a swimming pool. Lois is in a drugged-out stupor that has the effects of a truth serum. The boys ask her how she learned about selling Dewey's bike. "Francis told me," she says, so they threaten Francis. Francis sends his friends to get the letter from the boys, and Malcolm hides the letter in the VCR and tells Reese. Francis' friends find the letter in the VCR and take it away; however, this was Malcolm's plan the entire time; Malcolm made a fake letter, and gave the real letter to Dewey, but Dewey put it under Lois' pillow where she finds it. Lois then plans to send Francis to an even worse place than military school. To make Lois forget about the letter about Francis, Malcolm, Reese and Dewey decide to make Lois so angry at them that she concentrates on them instead. They make a stack of things that Lois and Hal cherish and put it on a wheeled cart on the roof. Meanwhile, Hal had gotten sucked into a Porsche dealership on his way to work. He throws up in a Carrera at the dealership. When the salesman drives Hal home, the boys' stack of things lands on the car.
