Smuggling Duds are a UK based underwear company with a twist, they have a secret stash pocket to keep valuables safe such as money, credit cards, condoms, iPods etc... History The idea behind the brand was conceived by the founder of the brand whilst visiting his Dutch cousins in Amsterdam. It came about after Ben and his brother saw a member of the public slyly confronted by a mugger who they helped usher away. After the incident He came up with the idea that travellers or even just people living in urban areas with a track record of muggings could use a stash pocket in their underwear to keep valuables safe and undetectable even when being patted down. The stash pocket boxer shorts design that Smuggling Duds uses as a template for all of their men's underwear has a United States Design Patent and a European Community Design Registration. These were both based on their earlier UK Design Registration with a priority date of 2005-04-17. SD Team Smuggling Duds sponsors a number of top UK athletes and DJ's including two times British motocross champion Billy MacKenzie and winner of many hard dance music awards Alex Kidd. They have also sponsored a number of top UK MMA fighters including Ross Pearson, Andre Winner, Nick Osipczak and Dean Amasinger.
