Skyline Turbine

Skyline Turbine is an alternative energy wind turbine dealer headquartered in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Charlottesville, VA. Locally harvested wind power rapidly became economically feasible through new government tax incentives and the strong consumer need for an alternative to older methods of energy production.
By ensuring that sites are away from turbulent air, Skyline Turbine is able to take advantage of the most efficient air flow available at their sites. The team who created the Skyline Turbine initiative are dedicated to producing only green electricity. The individually catered energy systems that they create are designed to provide clean, efficient energy without harm to the environment.
Skyline Turbine provides information, installation, consultations, and service of wind power generators for industrial, municiapal, residential, and commercial electricity. They have achieved a variety of new applications through their relationships and usage of commercial, architectural, and marine/RV turbines and manufacturers.
Recent Developments
At the January 13th, 2009 meeting of the Albemarle County Planning Commission, it was determined that planning staff should work on an ordinance regarding wind turbines for the Virginia County. Planning Commissioner Marcia Joseph (At-Large) expressed concern that tabling the wind turbine ordinance would set Albemarle County back in their ability to be on the cutting edge of the renewable energy issue. Commissioners Joseph and Bill Edgerton (Jack Jouett) volunteered to assist staff in the drafting of a new ordinance." .
The work that Skyline Turbine is engaged in is in line with building momentum in this country for alternative energy in response to geopolitical pressure from abroad. .
