Skill Select Skill Select Australia Australia is a new immigration initiative going to gain commissioning on July 01, 2012. It would be would be based on the Skilled Occupational Lists of Australia. this program has been envisaged as a suitable vehicle for the aspiring migrants interested in migrating and settling down in Australia on the basis of employment based visa.
Department of immigration and citizenship expects to reduce the processing time considerably after the implementation of this program. There are many advantages being promoted by Aussie authorities that would be reaped by the employers and the applicants as well.
It is expected to help reduce cost outlay on numerous hiring activities to recruit people from overseas resources.
What skill select will serve
It is been designed as an interactive platform to primarily serve

* • Independent Skilled Migration
* • State or Territory Sponsored Skilled Migration
* • Family Sponsored Skilled Migration
* • Business Skills.

But, this could also be used as an alternative for
* • Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS)
* • Regional Sponsored Scheme (RSMS)
* • Temporary Business (Long Stay), subclass 457 program.
From 1 July 2012, aspiring applicant will be able to submit an EOI and obtain an invitation and finally apply for following visa
• Subclass 189 Skilled - Independent (Permanent) (Class SI)
• Subclass 190 Skilled - Sponsored (Permanent) (Class SK)
• Subclass 489 - Regional Sponsored (Provisional) (Class SP)
• Business Skills visa program.
One can also file an intent of interest under purview of specified visa classifications to be accessed by employers
• Subclass 186 - Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) (Class EN)
• Subclass 187 - Regional Sponsored Scheme (RSMS) (Class RN)
• Subclass 457 - Temporary Business (Long Stay) (Class UC)
How will Skill Select Function
The migrants will have to file an Expression of Interest or EOI on this platform, it has been designed as a manifestation of an online profile that will be created free of charge and would need an applicant to furnish only information.
There is a range of new visa classifications due to be announced in month of April 2012.
Expresion Of Interest Australia - EOI will be created free of cost and will be stored in the Skill Select platform for up to a period of 2 years. During this period profile could be found by the employers and the applicant would be invited for visa.
