Six Forks Road

Six Forks Road is a major north-south thoroughfare in Raleigh, North Carolina. In northern Raleigh, it is also the dividing line between West and East Raleigh. The road gets its name from a community it led to where there were "six forks" or intersections. The roads were: Six Forks Road, Strickland Road, Baileywick Road, and Lead Mine Road. Lead Mine Road was rerouted, and Baileywick Road was moved slightly north of the intersection, so now there are only four points. The name is still around though, with Six Forks Station being a shopping center at the intersection.
