Sirians

Alleged Characteristics
Sirians are alleged humanoid extraterrestrials from the Sirius star system, 8.6 light years from Earth.
They are considered to be friendly and concerned about humans and the environment, and alleged to be the creators of both humans and dolphins.
These beings are allegedly concerned about the presence of Greys on Earth, and do not approve of their tactics.
The Sirians have a technologically advanced civilization, thousands of years ahead of human development. They resemble talking, bipedal dolphins and come in male and female varieties, just like us.

The Sirians are sometimes alleged to be amphibious: that is, able to breathe either air or water.
Dogon connection and controversy

The Sirians have allegedly contacted the Dogon, a tribe in western Africa (Mali). In the Dogon mythology they say that have had contact with extraterrestrials. In their astronomical knowledge they already knew the existence of Sirius B, a companion of the star Sirius. The Dogon tribe knew already that Sirius B orbits Sirius and that an orbit takes around fifty years, without any technical tools. They also knew of the third star in the system, Sirius C.
Carl Sagan has challenged this theory, saying they actually learned it from French visitors. Most scientists agree with this position, though there is no proof that Europeans (or Sirians) gave the Dogon this information, and it appears to have existed in their mythology for thousands of years.
Dolphin and human connection
The Sirians are alleged in ufology to have genetically modified Earth life to create the dolphins, and reincarnate into dolphins on Earth.
They have also been alleged to be the creators and protectors of humans, boosting simian evolution to enlarge their brain so they can contribute to building the noosphere.
