Simone Brunozzi

Simone Brunozzi is one of the main Technology Evangelists at Amazon Web Services. He is currently based in San Francisco, California, and has been a speaker on Cloud Computing topics at more than 500 events worldwide.
Career
Simone Brunozzi has a BS Degree in Computer Science at Perugia University; he has been a professor of Compilers and programming languages at Perugia University in 2004-2006, and has started several companies in Italy between 2001 and 2008.
Since 2004, he has been a popular community advocate for Linux Ubuntu, and his blog Ubuntu.it became the most popular Linux blog in Italian language. In 2007 he was the only Italian to attend and speak at the Ubuntu Live! conference in Portland, Oregon.
In 2007, he decided to donate the domain name Ubuntu.it to the Italian Ubuntu community, in exchange for a brief, temporary "thank you" mention at the bottom of the index page.
In 2007, when attending a virtual job fair in Second Life, he met an Amazon recruiter, and this encounter eventually led to his recruitment.
In 2008 he joined Amazon Web Services as the first Technology Evangelist for EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa). In 2010 he relocated to Singapore, becoming the first AWS Technology Evangelist for APAC (Asia Pacific). In 2012, he moved to the United States as a Senior Technology Evangelist. He is considered a global speaker and PR representative for Amazon Web Services.
Cloud Computing
Since 2008, Simone Brunozzi has been a popular speaker at Cloud Computing conferences, covering aspects such as security, high availability, big data, scientific computation, high performance computing, and several languages and platforms.
He is considered one of the Top 50 Cloud influencers on Twitter. He regularly presents demos of the latest AWS products at official AWS events, such as the AWS Summit 2013 in San Francisco.
