Simon Springer

Simon Springer (born in Manitoba, Canada, 1976) is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore. His research is noteworthy in that he is one of few scholars who has examined the relationship between neoliberalism and violence. Simon is the first and so far the only geographer to ever publish articles in both the Annals of the Association of American Geographers and Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers, the flagship journals of the American and British geographical societies respectively, before completing a PhD.
