Simon Plumbe is a freelance writer and works full time for Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council in the West Midlands. Biography Born in Hallam Hospital (now Sandwell General Hospital) in West Bromwich on 4 July 1971, Simon was educated first at Hamstead Infant and then Hamstead Junior School and subsequently to A-Level standard at Dartmouth High School in Great Barr. He has one younger brother and no sisters. He is currently married with one daughter, and is an atheist. Originally living in Great Barr, he now resides in Lichfield. Writing credits His freelance writing work has included the Official Star Trek Fan Club Of The UK, Amiga Pro, Amiga User International, CD32 Gamer (work originally written for Amiga Pro and sold on by the publishers but incorrectly credited to a different author), and Micro Mart, writing the regular Amiga Addiction page before Sven Harvey took over writing Amiga Mart in Micro Mart in 1999. Other work Simon has also worked in marketing, for the computer software PR firm Simply Gaming PR, as the editor of the CD-ROM based magazine for the Amiga CD32 title CD Gold and was the former site editor for the Casual Games website TunaSnax. Hobbies and interests Simon is the joint head and founder of the non-profit making science fiction organisation Infinite Frontiers and is the primary co-organiser of the annual European Transformers convention Auto Assembly alongside Sven Harvey and for a while was the organiser of the official supporters club for the Birmingham Bullets professional basketball team in Birmingham.
