Simon Corry

Simon Corry (born 9 September 1957 in England) is a London based musician and photographic artist who graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 1980.
He performed regularly as vocalist during the 1980's and 1990's in South East England with his band Human Identity and now defunct Hoxton All Stars composing contemporary pop music and smooth jazz for both groups and is renowned for his synthesizer solo's.
The photography of this artist is mainly colour with an emphasis on city life and personal work has been based on conceptual themes and textural images. His published commercial, editorial and charitable work includes the subjects of fashion at London Fashion Week, music events for Time Out and architecture.
Group exhibitions include 'Les Anglais vue par les Anglais' curated by Gabriel Bauret as part of 'Les Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie d'Arles' in France 1998, 'Teen' with photographers Jason Evans and Claire Strand curated by Val Williams at the Pierre Chevalier Gallery, Paris in 1998, 'Future Vision' curated by Andrew Cross, Graham Wood and Catherine Yass at The Photographers' Gallery in 1997, 'The Open' at The Whitechapel Gallery in 1996 and 1994, 'South Bank Photo Show' at The Royal Festival Hall in 1995 and 1994. Other exhibitions include a joint show with painter Geoffrey Hayzer RPS at Spitalfields Artists Open Studios in 1993.
Photographic work has been purchased by corporate collectors including Allianz Cornhill, American Airlines, the Bank of New York, British Consulate in San Francisco, London Electricity, Heidrick & Struggles, McKinsey & Co, NTL, Octel and private collectors
