Silky Baines

Nicholas "Silky" Baines (born December 22, 1981) is an American professional wrestler, better known by his ring name Silky Baines. He is currently working for the World of Wrestling, and Classic Wrestling Entertainment, is also well known for his appearances in the Texas City, Texas-based Coastal Wrestling Federation.
Career
World Of Wrestling (2005-present)
In 2005, he started traing at the Tugboat Taylor School of Professional Wrestling where under the Tugboat he was trained by Major Eddie Lee. Debuting in late 2005. He went on to win the Heavyweight Championship after defeating Seth Korbin on June 8, 2007 beginning a feud with him in the process He lost the title back to Austin Rhodes on January 9, 2008. About 4 months later he defeated Golden Prince to win the WOW Texas Heavyweight Championship.He lost the belt 3 months late to . On December 12, Silky won WOW annual Christmas Battle Royal and went on to the main event to challenge the then WOW Heavyweight Champion Mr. Destiny where he was defeated. Silky took off 3 months in 2009 returning at the July show to participate in the Texas Guilliotine Match for The WOW Heavyweight Championship in which he defeated Ben Galvan for his Second WOW Heavyweight Championship only to lose it to "Blast" Dj King who would win the match. After that Silky has interfered in all of DJ's title matches and on December 11 Silky defeated "Blast" DJ King, Ryan Genesis and Mr. Destiny in a fatal four way match in which to win the title DJ would have to be pinned. Silky pinned Ryan Genesis thus winning the match but not the title In January at WOW NEXT LEVEL Silky was the guest referee in the match Between the NWA World Heavyweight Champion Blue Demon Jr. and the WOW Heavyweight Champion "Blast" Dj King. The match was two out of three falls and went to a draw when both Dj and Demon attacked Baines. In February Dj King successfully defended the WOW heavyweight Championship in a Texas Deathmatch against Baines when Baines was pinned and then failed to get to his feet by the count of ten. On July 9 in one of the most anticipated main events in WOW history "The Benchmark" Silky Baines as he now calls himself went one on one with "Mr. Showtime" Scot Summers in a Six Shooter Match qualifier and WOW DOT COM Championship match. It was a back and forth match ending up with Baines pinning Summers with a schoolboy with his feet on the ropes to win the match. WOW president Dennis Hall decreed that due to the anticipation of this match it would not end under those circumstances and restarted the match. During the restart Summers locked in a crossface on Baines and when Baines did not respond to the ref the bell was rung and "Mr. Showtime" Scot Summers won the match thus winning the WOW DOT COM Championship and qualifying for the six shooter match in august
Classic Wrestling Entertainment (2009-present)
On September 5, 2009, Silky made his debut in Classic Wrestling Entertainment. He defeated Extreme Dragon. The second show on Halloween (October, 31 2009) he came up on the losing side to Nate Laws
Texas Continental Wrestling (2009)
In early 2009, Silky began working for the Houston-based Texas Continental Wrestling . He went on to become the first ever TCW Tag Team Champions as part of the PrimeTime Players with partner "PrimeTime" Ricky Douglas by defeating and Double Trouble(Tony Vega & Chris James) in a triple threat match. The two would hold the titles until on April 15, 2009 when they lost to Rob Eclipse & Jasper "The Hammer" Davis in a NO DQ Texas Tornado Match.
