Sider conference

SIDeR is a yearly conference that was inaugurated at Mads Clausen Institute, 2005 in Sønderborg. The conference aims for interaction design students all around Europe to meet, share reflections and build a valuable network. All students at bachelor or masters level are invited to participate. The last conference was held at Lindholmen in Gothenburg on the 22-23 March 2012 and was held in the award-winning "Kuggen" building, Chalmers' newest educational centre and home of the Interaction Design MSc. programme in Gothenburg, Sweden. This year the attendants were given the opportunity to participate in a design competition, trying to solve the problem of attracting visitors to the Swiss ski resort Schladming during the summer months.
During the conference there were also three speakers holding keynotes about their research and view on the interaction design field:
Staffan Björk & Johan Peltz: Play This! - A keynote about gamification
Johan Redström: Picture This! - How pictures can be used to "define" an object.
