Shop Direct TV

Shop Direct TV is a US corporation specializing in televised home shopping. Founded in 2011 by Ron West and Jane Pickerly in Upper Southampton, Pennsylvania, United States, Shop Direct TV broadcasts in the US to 35 million households and in Canada to 1.5 million households with Shop Direct Canada. The name refers to the direct response shopping programming featured on the channel.

Corporate history
Shop Direct TV was founded in November 2011 by Shop Direct Corporation which began leasing television time from local cable systems in 2007 extensively promoting its own in-house programming and products. Shop Direct TV was launched after the Company secured contracts to lease substantial additional airtime and began to accept long form commercials infomercials from outside agencies.
In March 2012, Shop Direct TV launched it's rewards program offering clients of any products seen on the network incentives and rewards for purchasing from the Channel.
Shop Direct TV's distribution reached the hallmark of 25 million households in May 2012.
While the Network now airs an increasing number of non-exclusive product commercials it is unique in that as of September 2012 even said infomercial programming has interstitial hosts like QVC and HSN.
Also in September 2012, Shop Direct TV began construction of 40,000 square foot production studio and office complex just outside of Quakerstown, PA. Completion is set for August 2013.
Shop Direct TV announced that it will be going public on NASDAQ in February 2012.
Operations
Shop Direct TV runs 24 hours a day but is seen on a part-time basis in some markets.

Shop Direct TV is based in Upper Southampton, PA where it was founded and will be moving to a new facility outside of Quakerstown, PA in late summer 2013.
Shop Direct Canada
Shop Direct Canada was launched in September 2012 . Shop Direct Canada is based in St. Johns, Nova Scotia, Canada and has is primarily distributed in the Maritimes of Canada and the Nunavut territory.

Shop Direct TV's recorded and live broadcast is supported by 12 program hosts. Celebrity hosts seen on Shop Direct TV are normally paid representatives of third party infomercial programming and not employed by the Network.
