Shirukume

Shirukume was a British post-hardcore band from Worcester. They possess a technical, melodic style similar to bands such as Alexisonfire, The Dillinger Escape Plan, and Norma Jean. They signed to British independent record label, Lockjaw Records, in September 2009, releasing their debut EP entitled 'Speaking In Colours' at the end of March 2010. Shirukume toured with other British acts to support the release, including Malefice (Metal Blade) and No Consequence (Basick Records). Shirukume also released a promo video for the single 'Through Prison Bars', directed by Chris Hammond.
Shirukume was managed by Enterprise Music Management in early 2010.
Shirukume have been granted exposure on Kerrang! Radio, and in Rocksound and Big Cheese Magazines.

Disbanding and new projects
An announcement posted on Shirukume.com on August 3, 2010 explains how Shirukume has been drawn to a close, and that they are having a fresh start, under the name 'Chronographs'.
Under the new name they have released two tracks, entitled 'Tides' and 'Dutch Courage' that were recording at Reading's Outhouse Studios, and enlisted a new guitarist: Jack Pope.
Chronographs are managed by Demise Management.
