Shira Levine

Shira Levine is an American journalist.

Biography
Shira Levine is originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, the daughter of a librarian and a sales representative. After briefly attending James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia, she transferred to George Washington University in Washington, DC, where she earned a journalism degree. She remained in DC where she worked as the media director for a civil rights NGO that lobbied Congress for self-determination in Puerto Rico, and as a freelance journalist. In 2003 she relocated to New York.

She has a weekly column in the newspaper Metro New York, entitled The Real Estate Voyeur and has contributed as a celebrity journalist to Metro New York, New York, Star, Radar, Inked, Forbes.com, ForbesAutos.com, amNew York, Life & Style, ABC Network Radio, OK! and The Huffington Post. Her travel writing has been featured in Accent, Forum and Tokion. Other publications she has contributed to include: The Forward, Maxim, Metropolis, Court TV, Heeb, and Sustain Lane. She can be heard regularly as a celebrity journalist on Mancow Morning Madhouse and New Hampshire's Morning Wake-Up Crew with Nazzy, and recently added Sirius and Maxim Radio's The Stretch Show to the mix. She has previously been a regular guest on The Morning Show with Joe Bartlett and Donna Hanover, The Dr. Doug and Skippy Show, New England's The Morning Buzz and Baltimore's 98 Rock with Stash. Television credits include appearances on A&E Biography, Fox's Hannity and Colmes and Canadian Television. She currently lives in New York City.
