Shinobu Sugawara

Shinobu Sugawara, born September 2, 1980 in Miyagi-ken, Japan) is a Japanese wrestler for Dragon Gate, where he plays the character Shinobu and is a member of WORLD-1.
Biography
At the start of his career he wrestled under a parody character of Magnum TOKYO known as Magnum KYOTO. He previously wrestled in the Triple Six promotion and Big Japan.
He debuted in Dragon Gate in November 2006 as Super Shenlong, a masked Chinese character. He lost his mask in a hair vs. mask match against Yuki Ono in November 2007. He was brought in the New Hazard stable by YAMATO, but he only appeared with them on large shows.
After the dissolution of New Hazard, Shinobu joined the Tozawa-juku stable as an "exchange student." On June 28, 2008, he won a three-way match against stablemates Akira Tozawa and Yuki Ono in order to join Keni'chiro Arai and Taku Iwasa in their bid to win the Open the Triangle Gate titles from Shingo Takagi, YAMATO & Gamma. Later that night, he, Iwasa and Arai would win the Triangle Gate titles, with him pinning Gamma. However, the trio would lose the titles to Yasushi Kanda, YAMATO & Gamma in their first defense the following month, Gamma getting revenge by pinning him.
When Tozawa-juku was brought to an end on November 16 after Tozawa, Iwasa & Arai lost to Triangle Gate champions Masaaki Mochizuki, Don Fujii & Magnitude Kishiwada, he and his stablemates were given a graduation ceremony. His Dragon Gate appearances in early 2009 were sporadic, but on April 19, he quietly became an assistant to the WORLD-1 faction.
