Shine Horovits

Shine (Shemoel) Horovits (born January 18, 1981), is a creator and photoshop artist
Biography
Horovits was born in Haifa, Israel and grew up in Nazareth Illit. He is the eldest of three brothers. While studying art history in high school, he became interested in Christian history. He frequently visited the Church of the Annunciation, where he studied and explored the techniques, materials, sculptures, paintings and stained glass windows.
At the age of 23, after his military service, he moved to Tel Aviv to become an artist and master digital art independently.
In 2013-2015, he taught Photoshop Master classes at the Israel Animation College as a guest lecturer.
In December 2016, Horovits moved to New York to work as an artist.

Horovits’s artistic style is characterized by innovation, aesthetics and the ability to create something out of nothing.
At first he worked at an advertising agency specializing in branding product packages, where he was responsible for image processing.

His breakthrough into the public consciousness began through the creation of Photoshop covers for newspapers and magazines, including Pnai Plus, Yediot Ahronot, La’isha and At, in addition to music CDs and major productions and campaigns. He also designed PR images for series for the cable TV company HOT and satellite TV company Yes, for the Reshet and Keshet broadcasting franchisees and for Channel 10. In 2011, he began working with United King Films, and designed over 30 official posters for Israeli movies such as The Farewell Party, Baba Joon, Our Father, The Last Band in Lebanon, Next to Her, Blush, An Israeli Love Story, Galis - The Journey to Astra, Galis - Connect, Guava, The Treasure Across the River, Yeled Tov Yerushalyim, Princess.
Horovits also designed two book covers for chef - pastry chef Carine Goren - If Grandma had a Mixer and Half & Half.
In 2011, the production of the movie "Dorfman in Love" staring Elliott Gould and Sara Rue contacted Horovits via his Facebook, inviting him to compete in the design of poster for the movie. Horovits won, and took part in photographing the poster via Skype, and photo-shopping the final poster design.
In January 2017, Shine designed and created the visual campaign for the world tour "Straight Outta Oz" by the Broadway show actor and choreographer Todrick Hall.
In March 2017 the documentary movie "Behind the Curtain: Todrick Hall" was released, published by the official poster designed by Shine Horovits.
In January 2018, Shine designed the world campaign: "Extinguish Circus Cruelty" with the star Juan Pablo Di Pace for "PETA
In July 2018 Shine designed the Second World Campaign "Break The Chains Boycott Seaworld" with the star Bella Thorne.
“LIES”
In August 2015, his debut exhibition, LIES, opened at Habima, the National Theater of Israel. The exhibition presented surrealistic digital art inspired by extraordinary life stories. The development of the exhibition digital art through Photoshop as an alternative to reality, and thus Horovits realized his dream of creating something out of nothing - hence the title of the exhibition. The artists were photographed for the exhibition by fashion photographer Ehud Romano in a white studio, with no makeup, hair styling and scenery, wearing only underwear. The work process encompasses a colorful visual translation overflowing with sexuality, danger, longing, innocence and a tremendous world of visions. In 2012, an official promo was filmed as part of the campaign of the exhibition, starring vocalist Rita and directed by Omer Tubi. The promo was shown at the Cinema City movie theater chain in Israel.
